If you would like to delete the TerraCatch account that is linked to your Google sign-in, please follow the steps below. Account deletion removes your profile from TerraCatch community services and erases any captures that were synced to our backend.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to privacy@skillith.dev with the subject line “TerraCatch Account Deletion Request”.
-
From the email address associated with your Google account, include:
- the Google account address you use in TerraCatch,
- your TerraCatch display name (if different), and
- the approximate date of your last sign-in.
- We will reply within 7 calendar days to verify the request. You may be asked to confirm the request from within the app to prevent unauthorized deletions.
What we delete
Once verified, we will permanently delete the following within 30 days:
- TerraCatch profile information stored on our servers (display name, avatar URL, friend connections).
- Capture metadata and images that were synced to the community feed, including associated location tags and rarity scores.
- Gameplay telemetry tied to your user ID (quest progress, rarity gaps, streaks).
Deletion cascades to any active social features (e.g., friend requests) linked to your account.
What we retain
- Locally stored data on your device (captures, cached settings) is not removed automatically. You can delete it by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.
- Aggregated analytics that no longer identify you (e.g., anonymized quest completion counts) may be retained for product analytics.
- We may retain minimal records required for legal or security purposes (for example, logs showing that a deletion request was fulfilled). These records are not used to deliver gameplay.
Revoking requests
If you change your mind before deletion is complete, reply to the same email thread and state that you would like to cancel the request.
